About Children's Express Learning Center
Our History
Children's Express Learning Center Inc. opened its doors in 1995. We are now beginning to see the children who attended our program many years ago enrolling their own children with us. We are a family-oriented center and take pride in the relationships built among children, parents, and staff.
Children’s Express Learning Center Inc. was founded by Maureen and Jay Sass in 1995. At the time, Maureen had over 10 years of experience in the childcare field, and Jay was working in the construction industry. With two young sons, Joseph, age 5, and Matthew, age 2, and expecting the arrival of their daughter Rebecca, they began planning to open a center of their own. With support from many friends and family, their project quickly took shape. They chose a location to rent in West Bridgewater, where their children would eventually attend public school.
In the years that followed, Maureen and Jay welcomed their youngest son, Thomas. In 1999, they began making plans for a permanent location, close to the original site, with the ongoing support of friends and family. Over time, their family expanded further as they opened their home to foster children from the daycare who needed extra love and care. Maureen and Jay feel very fortunate to have such wonderful children and to enjoy their time together as a family.
As we approach our 30th year in business, we look back and realize how fortunate we are to have such great staff and supportive families.
We are blessed to watch our children and their families grow, and we have realized that the best part of getting older is spending time with our grandchildren.
